New TR Grand Greeter Program: Join me in welcoming our two new Grand Greeters who are volunteering at the front desk in the office. We are happy to welcome Teresa Yu, who is grandmother to Lucas Chu in 2nd grade. We are equally thankful to have Judy Knowles, grandmother of Bradley Knowles also in 2nd grade.
This is a new program here at Travis, specifically for grandparents or retired community members who would like to volunteer a 1-3 hours a week at the front desk. Because the office is so very busy in the mornings, having a greeter is clearly a need. Our Grand Greeters are there to welcome visitors and parents, assist in giving directions and information, answer questions, collect items turned into the office, and assist in re-directing middle school students in the morning.
We value our TR grandparents and retired community members. They have a lot to offer our school and we welcome their involvement. We are still looking for a few more Grand Greeters. If you or someone you know might be interested in volunteering, please call our school office.
